Upgrading from OpenOrg and Org2
Celorga was previously released as OpenOrg (the Mac app) and Org2 (the runtime, CLI, and file profile). Both are now Celorga. This page is for people upgrading from those releases. The rest of this site uses only the Celorga names.
Nothing breaks when you upgrade
The old names keep working for several releases. There is no hard cutover, and you don't need to rename anything to upgrade.
When both spellings are present, Celorga prefers the new one:
celorga.jsonwins overorg2.jsonin the same folder, a:CELORGA_X:property wins over:ORG2_X:, and aCELORGA_Xenvironment variable wins overORG2_X.Until a workspace is migrated, Celorga keeps writing the old names in it, so devices still running an earlier release keep working on the same files.
A later
celorga migrate-namescommand will preview and then rewrite an existing workspace to the new names: property keys,org2.jsontocelorga.json,.org2/to.celorga/, and record types. It is not available yet. New workspaces will start with the new names.

Listings such as MCP tools/list show the Celorga names, but clients that call the old tool names keep working.
